AMI Director of Publishing, Kathryn Spiller, promoted a themed collection for AMI’s journal Sustainable Microbiology, which was inspired by the meeting’s discussions. This themed collection, entitled ’Microbiome Innovations for Sustainability’, will be guest-edited by Andrew Bartko and Rob Knight and generated a lot of interest from meeting delegates and speakers. According to Dr Harper, many attendees expressed interest in contributing, ensuring the collection will feature cutting-edge microbiome research.
Dr Harper also delivered a presentation on Applied Microbiology International (AMI), which was well received. The opportunity to showcase AMI among such an influential audience will enhance our visibility and impact within the microbiome research community and beyond.
The meeting provided a platform to strengthen professional relationships and expand collaborative efforts in the field, with thanks to AMI’s President, Professor Jack Gilbert. The enthusiasm from the scientific community reflects the event’s success in fostering collaboration and advancing knowledge.
