Stephanie Gaspar
Stephanie is starting her final year as an M.S. Biology student at the University of Central Florida (UCF). She completed her B.S. in Biology with a double minor in Health Sciences and Environmental Studies at UCF. Her thesis research focuses on studying the gut microbiome of a migratory avian insectivore using DNA metabarcoding. Stephanie was the founding president of the UCF Knighthawk Audubon Campus Chapter, the current president of her local Audubon chapter, and is on the webinar subcommittee with the American Ornithology Society. She has been tutoring international students in conversational English for 3.5 years and became a biology mentor with The Science Mentorship Institute this summer. Additionally, she is an ACE Pathways Intern with the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).
