Simran Kaur

Simran Kaur is a Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Medical Microbiology, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. Her current research, supervised by Dr. Sapna Pahil, focuses on gut microbiome dysbiosis in renal and bone marrow transplant recipients. In her previous position at Department of Virology, she has worked on a research project aiming to develop a SHERLOCK-based lateral flow assay for respiratory syncytial virus detection and has experience in molecular biology, microbiology, and bioinformatics. Simran holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and is particularly interested in studying human microbiome and its translational Potential.
